On  October 17, 2017 the Principal Judge, Hon. Justice Dr Yorokamu Bamwine, hosted a visiting delegation of Malawian judicial officers.

The team led by Justice Eseme Chombo of the Malawi High Court thanked the Principal Judge for making time to interact with them.

Hon.Justice Dr Justice Bamwine shared with the visiting delegation the different innovations that the Uganda Judiciary has put in place to ensure access to justice for all.

"We have Sentencing Guidelines in place to ease consistency in sentencing," he said. He added that inadequate funding and few judicial officers are lead contributors of case backlog.

The Malawian team is on a four-day bench marking visit in the Ugandan Judiciary.
